Insight: One of the biggest concerns with our healthcare system is the lack of interpersonal relationships between healthcare providers and patients. Yet it’s that kind of real partnership which makes Sutter Health different.
Idea: In this campaign, each spot appears to be close friends or family discussing something personal. But we soon realize that neither the relationship nor the subject matter are what they first seemed to be.

A Note About The Work
One of my favorite parts about these spots was that we shot on film — giving the work a gritty, lived-in texture that makes the conversations feel more real.
I really enjoyed writing these spots and thinking about dialogue that could serve as a double entendre while remaining true to life.
It’s also amazing what can be said through subtle eye movements, gestures, and the actor’s performances.
The aesthetic set up a powerful drama, leading the audience towards a conclusion until the dialogue, both spoken and unspoken, created the misdirect and paid it off.
